PRES-X joins ColdMetalFusion Alliance to unite sinter industry & AM around robust manufacturing standards

PRES-X, the innovative post-processing solutions company part of the BEAMIT-SANDVIK group is joining the ColdMetalFusion Alliance to work on reliable post-processing standards together with the other members. The company adds its vast portfolio of cutting-edge technologies to the Alliance.

Rubiera, Italy – PRES-X S.R.L. today announces its move to join the ColdMetalFusion Alliance together with other major industry players. With its track record in classical manufacturing, the company adds its wide array of capabilities from tomography or x-ray analysis, over hot isostatic pressing (HIP) or heat treatment, to surface finishing incl. DryLyte®, chemical etching, grid blasting and drag finishing processes with in-house developed custom media. PRES-X is also a distributor for equipment, such as DryLyte and can help customers scale up their operation from initial proof of concept to large scale operation. PRES-X joins ColdMetalFusion together with partners from sintering, industrial manufacturing and 3D printing.

ColdMetalFusion is an alliance of industry leaders with decades of experience in the fields of sintering, 3D printing and classical industrial manufacturing. Together, the Alliance members provide services, equipment, material, software and know-how to customers in the metal manufacturing industry.

The joining of PRES-X is a tipping point to accelerate that vision for ColdMetalFusion. Together with other members, PRES-X will instil this thinking into joint solutions.

On the Formnext exhibition in November in Frankfurt, Germany, ColdMetalFusion members will demonstrate the Alliance’s mission of industrialization. PRES-X will inform customers about its capabilities on the ColdMetalFusion booth in hall 11.1, booth D48.
