Nexa3D enters metal 3D printing with ColdMetalFusion - Nexa3D and Headmade Materials are signing partnership agreement
Headmade Materials, the pioneer of ColdMetalFusion, is announcing today its collaboration with Nexa3D in SLS printing. ColdMetalFusion is a sinter-based 3D printing process that combines the advantages of polymer laser sintering with established powder metallurgy processes.
Nexa3D, is a leading provider of ultrafast polymer 3D printing technology. With the strategic collaboration between Nexa3D and Headmade Materials, Nexa3D expands its SLS capabilities by entering the metal additive field through ColdMetalFusion. By using Headmade’s feedstock technology, Nexa3D customer are now be able to produce metal components with the QLS 230, QLS 236 and QLS 820 high-throughput SLS printers and are breaking the productivity barriers in metal part production.
"We are thrilled to partner with Headmade for ColdMetalFusion because we believe it provides our customers with best-in-class production economics for manufacturing metal components," stated John Calhoun, Head of SLS Business Development at Nexa3D.
By joining forces with Nexa3D, Headmade Materials contributes to the further expansion of the ColdMetalFusion ecosystem that thrives on performance, repeatability and precision to Nexa3D customers which are accustomed to ultrafast serial production. Headmade Materials and the ColdMetalFusion technology therefore gain a wider access to the market.
“We are impressed by the speed and throughput capabilities of Nexa3D technology and couldn’t be more excited to partner with them to expand access and adoption of ColdMetalFusion technology,” said Christian Fischer, Co-CEO of Headmade Materials.
As innovation pioneers and “industrialists” with a long history, the partners have an exigence of robustness and 24/7 operation of a factory. On the Formnext exhibition in November in Frankfurt, Germany, Nexa3D will inform customers about SLS printing technology in 11.1, booth E31, while customers can experience ColdMetalFusion in hall 11.1, booth D58.
