MIMplus joins ColdMetalFusion Alliance to unite sinter industry & AM around robust manufacturing standards

MIMplus, with its vast experience in classical industrial manufacturing and an annual production volume of over 25 million parts, is establishing the robustness of Metal AM through joint standards with other ColdMetalFusion partners. Further partners will join the Alliance later this year. MIMplus originated out of the leading precision engineering company OBE Holding with a long heritage in precision manufacturing (est. 1904).

Ispringen, Germany – MIMplus Technologies today announces its move to join the ColdMetalFusion Alliance together with other major industry players. With its outstanding capabilities in processing and finishing steps, as well as its great knowledge of innovative manufacturing technologies, MIMplus is a top player in the metal injection molding industry to join ColdMetalFusion together with the other partners.

The Alliance members have a great deal of respect for MIMplus’ approach to technology and additive production and its extremely sound understanding of powder metallurgy and sintering. Most important, the team at MIMplus shares the common passion to elevate Metal Additive Manufacturing to a more robust and reliable alternative to injection molding, while enabling cost-effective, high-volume production.

ColdMetalFusion is an alliance of industry leaders with decades of experience in the fields of sintering, 3D printing and classical industrial manufacturing. Together, the Alliance members provide services, equipment, material, software and know-how to customers in the metal manufacturing industry.

As a ColdMetalFusion Service Hub, MIMplus offers a “full service” to its customers from development right through to series production, being involved in the manufacturing of ground-breaking industrial, real-world applications already. Having set up a ColdMetalFusion factory line in their headquarters in Germany near Stuttgart, which totals a production area of 15,000 sqm, MIMplus services a variety of industries from the automotive sector to medical technology, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, electronics and jewellery, all the way to aerospace.

On the Formnext exhibition in November in Frankfurt, Germany, ColdMetalFusion members will demonstrate the Alliance’s mission of industrialization. MIMplus will inform customers about industrial 3D Printing in hall 12.0, booth D21, while customers can experience ColdMetalFusion in hall 11.1, booth D48.
